Button Hack for the Waterfall Jacket
We've added a new feature to the Waterfall Jacket. In this post we will explain how to add a cute button with loop fastener to the neck of the jacket for when you want to close it up on those chillier days.
Step one - Start by marking on your jacket where you what your button to sit. (This will vary from person to person depending on bust size and shoulder width, so, good news you can make this fastening bespoke for you!) Once your jacket front is closed and you're happy where it is sitting, pop a pin in place where your button will sit. Then stitch your button to the front panel of your jacket.
Step two - The edge of your jacket is where your loop will sit, this is to fasten your jacket shut with the button. Start by sewing a small amount of binding in half right sides together and pull through with a safety pin. (alternatively you can use ribbon or tape) Tip: The length of the loop will depend on how big your button is, have a little measure before cutting off too small a piece.
Step three - stitch the two short ends together with right sides facing, then turn out so raw edges are hidden (as shown in step four)
Step four - Hand stitch the loop in place onto the back on the jacket opening at the corner.
You can now fasten the front of your jacket to the button!
