Sewing for our NHS & Key Workers

Sewing for our NHS & Key Workers

We hope everyone is keeping safe and well. We've noticed a lot of our lovely customers have been sewing scrubs, bags, headbands etc and donating them to help our NHS and Key Workers during this tricky time. We hope that this blog post can be a handy tool with links to groups/organisations around the country where your sewing efforts can be best used.

There is also a handy sew-a-long tutorial on our Facebook page which shows how to make scrub bags, it can be found here

Below are some handy links for those of you looking to donate your time to making scrubs, bags, masks, headbands etc for our NHS and Key Workers - is an organisation which has access points across the UK where sewers can pick up kits to make scrubs which are then distributed across local hospitals and NHS facilities. - this group is run by local volunteers along the Sussex coast. - has lots of helpful information about where scrubs and non-scrub items can be distributed across the UK - Kerry at Just Fabrics in Chatham has also been donating haberdashery to those who need it

There are so many groups/organisations that we can't list them all, searching on Facebook for 'scrubs for the NHS' brings up lots of options.

We have a large selection of 100% cotton fabrics available via our website which can be used for scrub bags and other helpful items.

We now have lots of narrow white elastic in stock, which we know is being used by lovely sewers to make masks and headbands for our NHS staff and key workers.

We have reduced the p&p on this item to £1.50.

It has been amazing to see so many sewers rallying together to help provide PPE for our hard workers during this tough time!
